Disabled: Mother of teenager and adoptive mother of child. After losing her husband to falling debris, she took on the role of leader- a difficult task due to her blindness. Still, she puts on a strong front and ventures forward for the sake of her children.

Teenager: Quick to find resources, she grudgingly carries most of the heavy backpacks. She is often negative and unwilling to help others, especially when it comes to her adopted sibling. Her lack of willingness to help tests her mother's patience at times.

Child: Not long after being adopted into the family, tragedy struck the world. Because of this, he believes everything is his fault and is very reluctant to try anything. It doesn't help that his sister stares at him with scorn. He is very meek and easily startled.
