The instability of the planet Neptune caused one of its meteors containing the essence of strong winds to fly towards Earth's direction. Meteor impacted upon desert regions of Earth and formed devastating sandstorms waves across the world. Few humans that were caught in sandstorm have been infiltrated within their atoms to react modifications allowing them to shape-shift with sands.
The villain wishes to eliminate the sand carriers with water jet weapons as he does not identify them as humans anymore.
The protectors wants to prevent the villain from permanently removing the mutant so they can research their newfound powers and establish a connection with them.
